Experience

Auckland lawyer Ian McCombe has more than 35 years of experience in providing pragmatic solutions for clients' property issues. He has a broad background in all aspects of property law, including leasing, sales and purchases, due diligence on single properties and major portfolios, rural property and related farming agreements.

Over the last ten years, Ian has advised local authority and private commercial clients on property matters arising our of resource management applications and consents, Local Government Act, Reserves Act, Public Works Act and similar issues, including reviewing and preparing documentation where complex subdivision issues arise, and easements, bonds, consent notices, and covenants are required. Ian also provides advice on all aspects of property law for major infrastructure projects undertaken by public bodies and other clients.

Ian has a particular interest in the tourism and hospitality sector to which he provides advice on tourism‑related property matters. He is a member of the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand.
