Mark Baker-Jones is recognised internationally as a leading climate change adaptation legal practitioner. He has been involved in, and overseen, a broad range of initiatives to create an awareness of, and give effect to, positive responses to climate change. In this regard, he has worked with government at national and subnational level, academic institutes, NGOs (including UNESCO, UNEP, SPREP, and the Nature Conservancy) and private corporations, nationally and internationally.

Mark holds board and panel positions in the private sector, and with government and universities. He has also published widely, including in peer reviewed journals on climate change and legal risk, forced migration, and government policy on climate change.

Before joining Brookfields Lawyers in 2018, Mark was a partner in a national Australian law firm and was General Counsel for an international waste-to-energy group of companies.  He has gained experience working on major projects in a number of top tier and international law firms.
