Roading and Transport

The Brookfields' team are experts in roading issues from planning and designation to funding and construction, and including the regulation of road use. Both local government roads under Part 21 of the Local Government Act 1974 and state highways and roads managed under the Government Roading Powers Act 1989 fall within this area of expertise. Whether the issue is parking bylaws, stopping and disposal of a road or the implementation of a RONS (roads of national significance) project, Brookfields has dealt with it before.

We also advise on the provisions of the Land Transport Act 1998, the Land Transport Management Act 2003, and the Public Transport Management Act 2008, including all strategies and planning documents prepared under those Acts. We can assist to unravel the complex transport legislation and the linkages between the organisations involved to ensure productive outcomes.
