PRO BONa WORK

Twofold Bay After three years of careful planning, a decommissioned fishing trawler was intentionally sunk off the coast of Hawke’s Bay to create an artificial reef and dive site. The 60‑year‑old vessel, which was stripped of contaminants and prepared to strict environmental standards, sank in just 10 minutes and now rests on the seabed near Napier. Andrew Green and Rowan Ashton were responsible for obtaining the necessary consents for the project. The initiative aims to support marine biodiversity and provide a new recreational attraction for the local community. For more click here
